So let's talk about this cruise!

The Disney Wish is one of our FAVORITE ships to cruise on. The biggest of the current Disney Cruise Line fleet, it has a gross tonnage of 144,000 GT and can hold up to 4000 passengers. While that is a lot of people, it rarely feels too crowded.

The sailing includes a rotational dining experience, at no extra cost. Every evening you'll experience a different themed dining and menu. And your servers travel to each restaurant with you! This allows your personal staff to get to know you, having your preferred drinks waiting for you on the table and food and drink suggestions tailored to your taste. The three main dining restaurants are 1923 (classic, California themed dining paying tribute to the start of the Walt Disney company), Worlds of Marvel (an action packed dining experience with superheroes!) and Arendelle (a Frozen dinner theatre extravaganza that will have you signing and dancing in your seat). All of these are included in the cost of the cruise and have extensive food options (and you can order AS MUCH AS YOU WANT!).

Outside of the main dining, there is an enormous buffet at Marceline Market, lots of pool side food options at Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods, and indulgent dining that is an extra cost. There are two adult (18+) restaurants that are a MUST TRY, in my opinion.

Enchante by Chef Arnaud Lallement is a personal favorite for both Derek and I. This is a Beauty and the Beast themed fine dining experience with an extensive French menu. So many small plates of tasty food will leave you feeling comforted and very full.

Palo Steakhouse is another wonderful option, and I highly recommend trying the brunch here!

*Please note that both of these 18+ restaurants do have dress codes, so check that when packing!

And there's even more food you can find at the pubs, bars, coffee shops and secret spots (looking at you, Hook's Barbary)!

Besides eating, there are countless entertainment opportunities. Broadway shows, trivia, drawing lessons, and so much more are offered throughout the day and night.

And let's not forget Babi's favorite... BINGO!

There's just so much on this ship, I couldn't go over all of it in the detail it deserves in just one blog post. There are pools, waterslides, a spa I dream about every day, movie theaters, adult only areas of pure bliss and quite, and more and more and more. And that's just what's on the ship!

We'll be stopping at two ports of call, which are arguably the most popular ports on a Disney cruise.

Castaway Cay is Disney's own private island, with countless fun options. Lounging around with a tropical drink? Check. Swimming out to an ocean water slide and play area? You got it. Biking, snorkling, parasailing, stingrays, 5k (with medal), boat tour, and more adventurous activities? Oh yea, all available.

Our family of 5 includes members who will stay out until they are forced back on the ship, experiencing every fun option the island offers (Derek and Mila), the snackers, loungers and relaxers who are there for all the tasty treats with just a bit of exploration (Newton and myself) and one member who spends just a couple hours to soak up some lounging with the sounds of the ocean, before she takes advantage of an empty spa back onboard (Babi). There is literally something for everybody!

Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is the latest beach by Disney and one we have not explored yet! From my research, it's similar to Castaway Cay and just as fun. We'll get to visit this together on this sailing!

Now the one unfortunate bit with Disney Cruise Line is our inability to reserve group spaces. These sailings are so popular and every space is utilized to the max. So we have to get creative with meetups for our large group. Make sure to join the OklaCruise Facebook Group, where we will discuss and plan places and times to meet on the ship and on the islands.

Another important tip is to make sure you download the Disney Cruise Line app on your phone! You'll be able to prebook dining and extra activities before you sailing, as well as check in on your awesome countdown. But once on the ship, this app becomes your main tool for everything. This is how we can message each other directly and see the schedule of all the fun activities each day. It's an essential tool!

While you get excited for this trip, I recommend checking out some YouTube videos that do a great job explaining everything offered on the ship! My favorite vlogs come from Adam Hattan, The Tim Tracker, and Ordinary Adventures

I hope you consider coming to cruise with us! It's so fun to just hang out and experience an adventure with other crafters!
